Triflings are small winged folk standing between 8 to 14(2d4 +6) inches tall, weighing 1 to 2 pounds, and have pointed ears and high-toned voices. Their wings resemble those of a dragonfly. Skin colors vary but most are earth tones (browns, greens, and black) unlike their wings and hair that are of most any color. Clothing is usually light in weight and worn sparingly if at all.

Most folk never see or have never seen a Trifling. Those who have seen a Trifling have labeled them as such things: fairies, pixies, brownies, etc.
For most travelers, Triflings are spotted in wooded areas leading most to believe that they live in the woods. Those who have reported seeing a Trifling have also said they have woken up the following morning with missing personal items.
