Dwarves are short stocky fellows, averaging 3 to 4 feet tall and weighing about 150 lbs. They generally live for over 100 years before dying of old age. Their complexion can vary, but they typically have a tan skin. Even dwarves who have spent only a handful of days in the sun seem to have a light tan. All dwarves, male and female, have beards, the longer the better.

     Dwarves have very little sense of taste. Because of this, their food is usually very bland and almost tasteless.

     Dwarves are recognized as some of the best weapon smiths in the world. Most dwarven weapon smiths have had weapon smithing in the family for generations. They are also very good stone workers. This comes from living in the mountains and having to cut their dwellings from stone for many generations. Dwarves seem to keep the best workmanship to themselves. It is rumored that master craftsmen do not sell their work to outsiders. They will only keep it within their society, or once in a while, to someone who is very close to the master craftsmen.

      Dwarves are very loyal to their own kind. If a Dwarf is in trouble, you can be assured that there will be others there to help him out. Dwarven society is very clan based and they are very loyal to the clan they belong to. The leaders of the clans are some of the most respected members of Dwarven society.
