World of Ki'larn
Bits from various legends and poems
"Brothers are we; brothers are what we have lived our lives being,
what we will die as. Blood binds things closer than the tightest ropes,
the strongest clenched fists, it flows through us, making us what we are.
No matter what our differences, we are family, we are brothers."
-- Line from an elvish poem recounting the legend of the Viscounts
Valdrass and Verdiss Tempte (by Christopher Robinson)
'Ware the Targress.
The Targress runs through the trees;
Leaves trees leaves whipping in the wind with ease.
The Targress hunts with the wolf;
White wolf, so bright, wails woefully into the wind at night.
The Targress slips slyly into the slumbering town;
Slinks, struts, and sinks his teeth into a sultry, silken neck, all the
way down.
The Targress is a Hunter of Man, woe be to he without plan, it travels
the land, it
runs with no clan, it is the Hater and Feaster of Man.
'Ware the Targress.
The Targress runs through the trees, it is seeking for Thee.
