Serving Beauty Outcome

Serving Beauty was a two round tournament. We enjoyed running this tournament, and the players seemed to really like it as well.

In the two adventures of the first round, the parties were to retrieve a magical item for a beautiful, seemingly powerful mage. Both parties only questioned her intentions briefly. Lady Elizabeth, the mage, told them both that the magic item they were getting was half of a very powerful combination of items.

Both parties succeeded in getting the item they were sent for. One party needed to track down another mage and get the amulet from him. They assumed that they would only be able to get it by ambushing him, and so they did. They were able to get the amulet, but it hurt a little, as their ambush was seen by the guards accompanying the mage. Nobody died.

The second party needed to retrieve a book from a cave. They traveled to the mountain they knew it was in. They found the cave with a neat trick of the dwarf in the party. He was able to see through stone with one of his spells, and he used that to find the cave.

When they got to the cave, they found a large, angry giant living there. They promptly started beating the giant, as he was beating on them as well. They were able to fell the giant without too much hassle.

The party was able to get the book with some other minor encounters. One was a rather small, cheery little fellow that called himself Dusty.

In the second round, Lady Elizabeth had both magic items that she desired. She wasted little time in using them either. She used the items to summon a demon. Perhaps she was a little hasty in her summoning, as she didn't realize that the demon would take over her body.

The party found this out in short order, and needed to find out how to defeat this demon. They went to another mage, and asked his help, and found that they needed to get holy water from the church of Rowis, and of Thikis. Unfortunately, these churches are fighting, as are their gods.

The party was eventually able to get the waters needed, and they were able to find the demon, and its hideout. The made their way there hurriedly, and fought the demon's minions, and the demon. Lady Elizabeth, after the demon left her body, woke back up, and entombed the demon.

The party, with a kind natured heart, returned to the church of Thikis, the Rage of Thikis (the book they retrieved), and told the church where the Rage of Thikis (the demon that was summoned) was entombed.

The party was paid generously for their brave efforts, and received some things from the Church of Thikis as well, for their generosity.
