Origins Planning

We are mostly done planing what we will be running at Origins pavarotti o sole mio ii mp3

this year.  ABGames has submitted over 120 events.

We’ve added a couple new game masters over the past year – Dan Tillberg (runs D&D and Battletech among other things), and George Anderson (runs many, many RPG systems including TORG and GURPS as well as war games).  We think they will be a good addition to the team.  We aren’t activly looking for new members, but when we find someone that that’s a great GM, and fun to be around we add them to “the Blob”

Some special events at Origins 2009:

Iron GM – In the style of Iron Chef, we will be running an event where the characters, and a few plot points will be pulled from a hat a the start of the event, and the GMs have to improv the rest of the story.  This event is scheduled for Saturday Evening 7pm.

Dance of Halus – We said last year would be our last (we said that 2 years ago as well), but it returns again.  The Dance of Halus has been an annual event on Saturday night where we get several (usually 6-10) GMs together and run an adventure for 3 tables of players and there is usually some interaction between the tables.  This year however, will be slightly different.  The Dance will be Saturday afternoon (2pm) this year and will probably only be run by a couple GMs (Rich and Andy at the least).

Cartoon Power Hour/As Seen on TV – Our re-occuring theme night.  Friday evening we run events based TV shows, with the majority based on classic cartoon or kids shows.  Some planned games – Cartoon Frag, Smurf Cthulhu, Scooby Cthulhu, Seasame Street Cthulhu,  Drow Tales (based on the comic) Dora the Explorer D&D, Seasame Street Trivia, and many others.
