Mapped with Campaign Cartographer 2

AB Games "started" when Rich left Kent for the wilds of Michigan. He and Ken and I had been gaming since high school, and through-out Rich's 12 years of undergrad at college. We wanted to have a project to work together on (the world of K'ilarn developed from that idea) to keep in touch. I beleive that Blair was the first non-Ohioan we added into the fold and much of the early maps (or only maps we have) have come from he, Rich and Ken. With Blair, we of course get the lovely Becky. We also got the Nick, Dean, Belcurve Dave, and a few others.

Origins moved to Columbus in... what year 96? 95? Super Dave was helping run the show at the time. He was living in Kent, and was college chums with my neighbor down in Columbus (which is how I was introduced to him and how he eventually became one of everyone's fondest memories from my wedding [another tale....]) Origins was an easy drive for some of us (those living in Columbus and Ohio) so we conned Rich in to coming down (it was easier from Kent in those days) to play. Our gaming experience with RPGA was so bad that we thought we could do a much better job. At the time Rich ran RPGA events down there for whatever toppins they thew out those days under pretty bad conditions. In 97 Rich and I started running Rescue. The bulk of AB has grown out of Rich's gaming group up at Central Michigan and our new friends we met each year at the con.

The name Amorphous Blob comes from a comment I made about Rich's and mine gaming group in high school. We rolled along, like some giant Amorphous Blob, picking up outcasts as we adventured (we had a rather rag-tag group at the time). That term began the name of our adventuring party, and we loved it so much that Rich and I applied it to our new project (K'ilarn and the whole GM'ing thing) because it sounded cool, and no one else was doing it at the time (back then you had GameBase 7 and maybe early, early Rogue Cthulhu then organized and running at Origins).

Members

Richard Downey , Game Master, Cartographer, Ideas Man
Rich is the founding member of Amorphous Blob Games. He brought the core team together and is the warped mind that came up with the idea for Super Plug! The world of Ki'Larn is Rich's baby and is why he brought together the people he has.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, Starwars, GURPS Traveler, GURPS Fantasy, Spy Craft v2.0, Hero System, Savage Worlds.
Blair Reamy , Web Master, Game Designer, Game Master
Blair is one of the original members of the team. He designed the website and was one of the other warped minds who brought Super Plug! to life.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, CarWars, GURPS Fantasy, Munchkin, other SJGames card games.
Becky Reamy , Web Master, Game Designer, Game Master, Meeting Organizer, Artist
Becky is also one of the original members of the team. She helped design the website, and works hard at maintaining it. She is one of the warped minds that helped bring Super Plug! to life on the car-ride home from Rich's place. Becky is the one that normally organizes the meetings & takes notes at said meetings. Becky has also done some of the artwork on the site, as well as much of the artwork for Super Plug!
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, GURPS Fantasy, Fuzzy Heroes, CarWars, Misc. Steve Jackson Games, Clay-O-Rama
Christopher Robinson , Writer, Game Master, Eater of Chili Dogs and Sausolitto Panini's
Chris is the genius who gave us the name 'Amorphous Blob'. He has provided us with most of our Myths & Legends of the world. Chris is also a great game master. If you walk into a room where we are running, the guy standing on the chair or table is probably Chris.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulu, Stalking the Night Fantastic
Nick Spens , Game Master, Cartographer
Nick, who often falls of the face of the planet, is one of our game masters. He also makes some of the maps we have of our world and helps make sure that they are accurate (he has a degree in geology). Nick is the other warped mind that came up with the idea for Super Plug!
Games: Necromunda, Dungeons and Dragons, Deadlands
Ken Jakubec , Game Master
Ken was swallowed whole by the blob at Origins 2000. He started out strong by running many events that year. He is a great game master and tells wonderful stories. He is the author of the Story of Terk , which has an adventure that ties into it. Now we just need to get him to tell more stories!
Games: Dungeons and Dragons
"Belcurve" David Nelson , Game Master, Board & War Game Specialist, Grognard
Dave runs mostly GURPS events and is a wonderful game master. He is also our board/war game specialist. It is his passion and he does a good job with it.
Games: GURPS Fantasy, GURPS Traveler, BattleTech, Dirt Side II
Jay Whitmore , Game Master, Game Designer
We assimilated Jay at Origins 2000 and had him running stuff for us a few months later at UCon. He runs many events at conventions and is a constant presence at our meetings. He has lots of great ideas and has helped us out with the design of our newest game (still being tested) Anonymous Squirrel Warlords & Skippy.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, Silent Death
"Super" Dave Radzik , Writer, Convention Organizer
We inducted Super Dave into the ranks this year shortly before Origins 2001. Super Dave has expressed interest in writing some stories for our world. Already, he has proven himself an asset to the company with ideas on how we can advertise ourselves better!
Games: Super is usually helping run the convention so I'm not sure what he runs.
Dean Richey , Game Master
Dean was pulled into the ranks in 2001, and helped us out by running several events at Origins that year as well as helping out with the Dance of Halus.
Games: Champions, Dungeons and Dragons
Ron Tupacz , Game Master
Ron joined helped with the Dance of Halus at Origins 2001. Ron joined the army so he won't be able to make it to very many conventions for a while.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons
Christine Baker , Writer, Cartographer
Christine is more of a writer/map designer than a convention Game master. We're happy to have her on board.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, Wierd Wars
Jon Decker , Writer, Cartographer
As with Christine, Jon is also more of a writer/map designer. A couple of Rich's friends from College in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Games: Dungeons and Dragons, Wierd Wars
Mike Whiteman , 'Just OK' Game Master
Mike enjoys running many different RPG systems, especially those that most people don't really know that well. He figures that way the players won't realize that he doesn't really know how to run the system, and that he is just an 'Okay' GM!
Games: Buffy RPG, Star Wars d6, Deadlands Reloaded, Marvel Super-Heroes RPG, and whatever else catches his fancy in a given year.
Trish Kloha , Game Master
Another Origins attendee that got blobbed. Trish will be joining us at GenCon, Origins and UCon.
Games: Mostly Board/Card games: Hack'n Slash, Munchkin, etc.
Mark Kloha , Game Master
Another Origins attendee that got blobbed. Mark will be joining us at GenCon, Origins and UCon.
Games: Mostly Board/Card games: Hack'n Slash, Munchkin, etc.
Alex Kreder , Game Master, Supply Sergeant
No one’s quite sure how or even when Alex was absorbed by the blob, but we’re pretty sure Mike had something to do with it. We keep him around because there’s no one with a better ability at getting just about any game in the world like Alex.
Games: Star Wars d6, Orcs at the Gate, Wings of War, Star Wars Silent Death.
Jim Brown , 'Non-Indexed' Game Master
Jim was Blobbed because none of us could fathom how to run a system without an index, and since Jim seemed adept at running such systems we figured we could use him to attract all the weird fringe players to our room. We would have shirted him on the spot were it not for the fact he knew Mike Whiteman, and therefore he was put through a rigorous examination period.
Jim still refuses to wear his shirts until we publish a manifesto organizing the group.
Games: Rifts, Chaos Earth, Beyond the Supernatural 2, Palladium Fantasy, D&D, D20 Modern, and Twilight/Merc 2000.
Andy Shockney , Game Master, Tactical Genius
Andy's gaming experience includes 20 years as a player and DM of great tabletop, rpg, and crpg games. Andy is an avid fan and supporter of the ENWorld gaming community. His writing credits include Relics & Rituals II and Creature Collection III, both published by Sword & Sorcery Studios. He is also a founder of Myrik Games, which published a D&D pdf spellbook, Tauralathan's Grimoire Vol. 1, in 2004.
We shirted him when we saw that Andy actually knows the rules to D&D and we were all so impressed we just had to have him. Afterall somebody in our group needs to know the rules to at least one of the games we run. All hail Andy our Tactical Genius!
Games: Dungeons & Dragons, Marvel Super Heroes, Champions, Battletech, Magic: The Gathering, and World of Warcraft.
Earl Lindsay , 'Greedy' Game Master, Assistant Web Master
Earl was a constant presence in AB events before being absorbed by the blob in 2007. He expands our unique offerings by providing events such as LEGO Silent Death and Sesame Street Cthulhu. Since becoming a GM, Earl spends his time figuring how to steal players from Mike and Alex! Bwahahahahahahahaha!
Games: Plays and runs anything. Con Events are usually d20 (DnD, Modern, Call of Cthulhu), Savage Worlds, Silent Death, Formula De and the spectacle that is Circus Giganticus!
George Anderson , Game Master
George started with Avalon Hill boardgames in 1972, and as soon as DnD came out he was hooked. Much younger then, he was able to sprint through the picket lines to get his regular fix (buy stuff). He discovered the Blob in a little town called Efa in 2001 at his first ORIGINS and kept coming back.
Finally, in 2008 with age catching up with him, he was too slow to escape and was absorbed. When not at his day job, George has consulted with game companies for military games, designs games and expansions (primarily ATS System) and writes articles for the Warfighting Guide published by Critical Hit. George also has a couple of adventure modules entering publication shortly.
Games: Wargames (Miniatures & Board). Plays and runs most RPG Systems (far too many too list). Currently prefers GURPS and TORG, but that can change.
